The 5 pm service is very casual and short (35-40 minutes) and features the most contemporary worship language and music. This is a "come as you are" service designed for people who want to cycle, bike, garden or sleep in on Sunday mornings. Refreshments, for those who wish, follow in the plaza in front of the church.
Both services typically include prayer, one or two readings from the Bible, some music, and communion (receiving the blessed bread and wine from the altar). Communion at St. Mark's is open to everyone. |
