Thank you for your interest in St. Mark’s in the Valley Episcopal Preschool. We are a small preschool tucked away in the town of Los Olivos.

St. Mark's Preschool is distinctive in having no more than 24 students per day (total, in all programs). Your child will not be lost in the crowd and you will know both the other students and their parents.

St. Mark's Preschool is for ages 3 through 5 (pre-kindergarten) and offers an environment that supports and encourages children to grow, learn, and respect themselves and others. The pre-school is known for excellent teaching that prepares children for elementary school in an environment they enjoy.

Our desire is to follow in the rich tradition of the Episcopal Church where educational excellence is regarded and honored. St. Mark’s is a non-profit preschool and welcomes all children in the community.

Our program is developmentally based, using thematic units and learning centers to encourage a positive attitude toward learning and school. We have designed a program to meet the social, emotional, spiritual, cognitive and physical needs of preschool children. Learning experiences include: art, music, science, gross-motor, fine-motor and biweekly chapel.

Children have an innate sense of adventure and curiosity. They are always learning, especially when they are having fun.  Our three program areas create a rich environment full of learning opportunities, as well as structured academic time that prepares children for Kindergarten.  Small class sizes and family like atmosphere assure that each child is given special attention and encouraged in their own unique development.
