About the naming of Firestone Hall
A message from the Firestone Family
To the St. Mark’s Rector, Vestry, and Congregation:
The Firestone family has been a part of St. Mark’s-in-the-Valley now for five generations. We do this as a witness to Jesus Christ as expressed by the Episcopal Church. We were humbly amazed and totally surprised at the “Firestone Hall” designation. After the first blush of embarrassment and concerns of suitability, we are warmly pleased and grateful for the honor of this distinction. On behalf of my father who is no longer with us and all the family, we wish to express our enormous, loving thanks to the parish for this symbol of our life in St. Mark’s.
